Darlene Kelly is Truvy Jones
Darlene is very pleased to be making her debut with SPAO. She has appeared many times on local stages. Her favorite roles performed with Schuylerville Community Theater include Lucy in “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown”, Widow Corny in “Oliver”, Mrs. Cratchit in “Scrooge The Musical”, Madame Arcati in “Blithe Spirit”, a Skidrow resident in “Little Shop of Horrors” and Sister Amnesia in “Nunsense II”-twice! Darlene appeared in ”Fiddler on The Roof”, “Arsenic and Old Lace”and “Guys and Dolls” at The Fort Salem Theater . She was also in Glens Falls Community Theater’s production of “A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum”. She not only acts but also has been the scenic artist for many of her shows. Darlene produced two of SCT's top musicals, “Annie Get Your Gun” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Darlene thanks SPAO for providing her with such a great experience that will never be forgotten, from audition to performance. "My new friends at SPAO have made the experience most enjoyable". Darlene thanks her great friend Donna Dodd-Thomas for steering her down the road to Stillwater and also thanks Dawn for encouraging her every step. A special thanks to her husband of 26 years, Michael, for loving his actress every day. They have two children in college and reside in Gansevoort. SPAO is proud to welcome Darlene to our stage.
Kacie Kirkpatrick is Annelle Dupuy-Desoto
Kacie just turned sixteen and is a state competitive swimmer. Five years ago she won the role of Demeter in The St. Clements School Drama Club's production of "Persephone". At that time she decided, "I'm going to act and there's no time to waste". She continued in school productions of "Don't Rock the Boat" and played the Mad Hatter in "Alice in Wonderland". Kacie has appeared in many community theater productions, underwent extensive dramatic and improv training and now plans to attend college for performing arts. She has appeared with Saratoga Floodlight Players, whose format of comic and dramatic shorts, monologues and duologous teach being prepared for anything. Her favorite monologue is "Bye Bye Baby"; duologue "Counting Off", in which she played the Coach. Kacie played the Witch in Home Made Theater's, Theater Conservatory for Teens' production of "The Jack Tales". She was last seen on stage in the SPA Catholic Drama Club's murder mystery, "Murders in the Heir". Having wasted little time, she exclaims, "Now I'm here with SPAO. I'm so happy, excited and thrilled. My fellow cast members are so talented. Just like my character Annelle, I have five of the nicest ladies helping me be the best that I can be. Thanks so much!". A junior at Spa Catholic, Kacie resides with her family in Stillwater. We are proud to debut Kacie to our dinner theatre audience.
Winnie Bowen is Clairee Belcher
Winnie holds a BFA in Theatre from Flordia State University. Being removed from theatre for twenty five years, she recalls her favorite roles as that of Mildred Wilde in "The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wilde"; Madame Arcati in "Blithe Spirit"; Evelyn Jackson in "The Rimers of Eldritch"; Vita Louise in "Harvey" and Miss Spindle in "The Drunkard". During the '80's, Winnie performed in Manhattan at the Colonnades Theatre with Val Bisoglio in the original one-act play, "Beltway". She also appeared extensively with the comedy group, The Fresh Air Taxi Cab Company in "Don't Even Think of Parking Here" at Palsson's Supper Club, New York City. Winnie says, "I am pleased to return to the stage, especially in the role of Clariee and also very pleased to be working with a very talented SPAO cast and crew". She resides in Ballson Spa with husband Tom and her three dogs and two cats. Winnie wishes to send special thanks to her friends and co-workers at the Saratoga Mental Health Clinic for their wonderful support. Spao is proud to welcome the very talented Winnie as she makes her area debut on the SPAO stage.
Molly McGrath is Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie
Molly says, "I guess I've come a long way from my first time on stage ten years ago when I played the 'Duck' for the Galway Youth Theater's production of "Peter and the Wolf". "I figured it couldn't get any worse." Over those ten years she has performed in community theater as Marion "The Librarian' in "The Music Man", Anna in "The King and I", the scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz", Grace Farrell in "Annie", and as the narrator in "Joseph and the Amazing Technocolored Dream Coat". And, she will perform the role of Annie in the Clifton Park's Not So Common Players' production of "Annie Get Your Gun" this summer. Molly was introduced to SPAO audiences as a sixteen year old vocalist during SPAO's "Arsenic and Old Lace" in the spring of 2001. She debuted as an actor with SPAO the following fall, playing the shy veterinarian nurse, Caitlin O'Hare, in "Over the River and Through the Woods". She returned with the lead of Carrie Sachs in our 2002 production of "Lunch Hour". Molly last appeared as the Jewish free spirited daughter, Susan Hollander, in last spring's SPAO hit comedy "Don't Drink the Water". She quips,"No matter how they try they can't seem to get rid of me". Why would we throw away gold?? The perky, now twenty year old Stillwater resident, is an executive assistant for OneSource in Colonie. We welcome our Molly back.
Cynthia Petronis is M'Lynn Eatenton
Cynthia started her SPAO history with an unsuccessful audition but stayed on to create the bleeding Armadillo groom's cake for SPAO's first production of "Steel Magnolias" back in '91. She made her debut as an actress with SPAO as the Ozark Chanteuse Cherie in "Bus Stop", then returned as the 'Perils of Pauline' type heroine, Purity Dean in "Pure As The Driven Snow" during SPAO's highschool days. Her comedic accent and dialect abilities have kept her on-stage with SPAO. Her "Steel Magnolias" M'Lynn, speaks with a Louisanna dialect. This is her tenth role in SPAO's dinner theater having started it all off with a lead in our first dinner theatre production of "Poisoned Pawn". Her personal favorite was her role as the mischievous cockney con-artist cook in "Don't Dress For Dinner". Her other Dinner Theatre appearances include "The Odd Couple", "Full Moon", "Moon Over Buffalo", "Rumors", "Murder By Mistake" , "Lunch Hour", and last fall's sellout hit "Don't Drink the Water" bringing the lead role of the Jewish New Jerseyite Marion to life. She has appeared in "Morning's At Seven" at both Schuylerville and Round Lake, and as the wretched southern belle lead character, Carnell Scott, in Round Lake's "The Miss Firecracker Contest". She has worked in just about every area of community theater from pouring coffee to lead producer. Recently married, Cynthia resides in Stillwater with her director husband, Jerry. She is a letter carrier for the USPS in Mechanicville. It's always fun to welcome Cynt back.
Bea Girard is Ouiser "Weezer" Boudreaux
Bea has been delighting audiences with her characterizations since she made her acting debut as Mr. DePina, (Photo 1) the little Italian ice man in "You Can't Take It With You", SPAO's first community theatre production presented at the highschool. She considers that role as one of her most enjoyable and creative roles. Bea appeared in "Mousetrap", "Blithe Spirit", "Harvey" and, "Pure as the Driven Snow" at the high school for SPAO. Her SPAO dinner theatre shows include "All in the Timing", "Moon Over Buffalo" (Photo 4) and, as the leads of Aunt Abby in "Arsenic and Old Lace" (Photo 3), Aida Gianelli in "Over The River and Through The Woods". Bea last appeared for SPAO as the irate French chef of last spring's hit comedy "Don't Drink the Water" (Photo2). She has also been seen on the stages of The Round Lake Auditorium and The Schuylerville Community Theater in "Mornings at Seven", Albany Civic Theater in "Impassioned Embraces" and Schenectady Civic Theater in "The Crucible". This past summer Bea sang the role of the French countess in Victor Herbert's operetta, "The Red Mill" at Russel Sage's Little Theater. A past SPAO president, she has worked in many areas of production for SPAO. Bea resides in Stillwater with set designer husband Paul. We are extremely delighted to have her comical talents once again grace the SPAO stage.
