The play takes place in an American Embassy (an old world little mansion) in a small Iron Curtain country somewhere in South Eastern Europe in the early 60's.

Due to an outrageous mixup, an unsuspecting family of American tourists is labeled as a notorious ring of spies trapping them in the Embassy.

The Hollanders are enjoying their trip behind the Iron Curtain until Walter, a Jewish caterer from New Jersey, innocently snaps a picture of the sunset...over a politically sensitive area. Before he knows it, his family is the focus of a major international incident.

It's now up to the Ambassador's diplomatically inept son to keep the hapless Hollanders from landing behind bars while they plan their escape.
